"A decent place, but needs improvement"

What do you like about working at West Virginia University?

"Diversity of the employees and the student body. Majority of the faculty and staff care about the work they are doing. West Virginia is a beautiful state!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be patient. The hiring process can be quite lengthy."

What don't you like about working at West Virginia University?

"Pay for faculty and staff is low compared to market value. Morgantown, unlike some parts of West Virginia, is a more expensive city to live in. The bureaucrats need to open their eyes and lose the ego about the institution."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take the concerns of faculty and staff seriously. Allow market data to influence employee salaries. Upper level administrators should not receive grossly disproportionate salary increases."
