"Excellent place to work. Staff are diverse from all parts of the world. I was employed there for 20 years and enjoyed it mostly. Like any other job, there are some ups and downs, but it was mostly favorable for me. I recommend the World Bank for prospective candidates."

"It's a huge organization with a sincere dedication to helping improve world poverty. It rewards its staff very generously and is run quite efficiently."

"Beware! You are dispensable."

What don't you like about working at World Bank?

"It overworks people even though it talks about finding the right work/life balance. In reality, it's all Bank, all the time. It's a very impersonal place with a lot of turnover in directors, which creates a feeling of unease. It spends its money on providing huge salaries and lavish perks instead of really doing something about reducing world poverty."

"Learn compassion."
