"Interview in great length with any senior management that you may report too. There are some managers at the senior level that are extremely competent and with good character worth working for."

"Very high turn over within senior management. After the COO and CFO left and were replaced by a new president who brought in his own CFO and Controller it lost it's appeal to work there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Senior management should work well together as did the managers at the director and operations level."

"Getting to know all the decision makers at multi-million dollar online traffic generating companies; learning newest traffic generating techniques."

"Long commute, maxed out growth opportunity"

"Lay out more long term career options"

"World Avenue is a sole proprietorship, so things follow the interests and moods of the owner."

"I had a fairly free hand to test out new ideas and build prototypes. I did some of my best work there."

"I don't know how things might have changed, but I wouldn't be interested in going back. They are definitely looking for mediocrity, no matter what they say."

What don't you like about working at World Avenue?

"They were managing growth, a real issue for startups that reach a certain size. Eventually, politics became the primary activity of the company and its performance suffered, creating a vicious spiral."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They started out wanting to beat the world, and when I left they were obsessed with grabbing the low-hanging fruit. They went from a leader to a me-too company. The low-hanging fruit would have fallen into their lap if they had the courage to maintain their original vision!"
