"I joined the Woodlands Art League when we moved to Spring, TX about 3 years ago. I started volunteering my help with various aspects of the group and was invited to run for President. I was president for one term. The league offers classes, a sales gallery, several painting and drawing groups, professional development workshops and participates in several community projects each year. The board members are all volunteers. Artists get commissions on consignments to the gallery or for teaching classes."
