"I started at a brand new store as a deli clerk and moved up from there. I worked in many departments and learned my way around the store. Ending my 6 (almost 7) year run I was an MIT for the last year of my employment. The MIT program is very demanding work and the job demands became too much for my body to handle but I kept working towards getting into management. However my goal seemed to get more out of reach as when the time was coming I felt as if I was in a competition with other candidates it got to the point where I felt like I was being told what I wanted to hear. At this point I had seen everything WinCo politics had to be seen and I wasn't feeling the passion I did years ago. Ultimately this led to my resignation and leaving the company. Some things improved but some things got worse. Pay was absolutely horrible, and to this day WinCo has trouble keeping employees because fast food chains are paying more than they are."

"Driver beware! Artificial Intelligence camera system in use in all trucks now. They are programmed to detect “bad Behavior” like holding a coffee mug for too long, touching a personal device and/or anything else it thinks is dangerous habit. Quite a few great drivers are leaving because of this. I’m interviewing as I write this. Management has a huge disconnect with Drivers cause 95% of the managers aren’t drivers. 24/7 on call job with no days off, unless resetting, then you’re still on call. Must answer your phone or you are disciplined. Decent pay but you are “on-call” when you start and they would rather work common carriers than call you. More loyalty to CC’s than company drivers. Be careful!"

"WinCo Foods takes full advantage of its hardest-working employees to make up for the shortcomings of management/coworkers without proper recognition and incentive in order to test their loyalty. If you are a dedicated employee with ambition for promotion expect to be strung along with a vague promise of opportunity that rarely, if ever, presents itself. Should that opportunity arise, do not expect your hard work to count for anything; promotions are a popularity contest."

"WinCo Foods is a good company to work for and has opportunities to advance within the company. We have awesome benefits and WinCo is an employee owned company. We earn ESOP stock in addition to one's income. Whatever your gross income is you receive an additional 20% worth of stock into your ESOP. Unlike a publicly traded stock valued on the open market, the per share value of WinCo’s stock is appraised annually by an independent valuation firm selected by the ESOP trustee. ESOP stock values have averaged increases of 20% compounded annually since 1985. That means an employee who received a company contribution of $5,000 worth of stock in 1985 now has stock worth almost $480,000 from that one year alone!"

"I worked as an Intern in WinCo food at Store 14 which is located at Cedar Hill. My main internship to work at every department at the store. The one that I believe is lacking at there is no plan for the next step for the intern."
