Williams International
Overview Williams International is a leading manufacturer of small gas turbine engines. Established in 1954 as Williams Research Corp., the company initially focused on the defense industry, applying its research to produce gas turbines for cruise missiles. By the 1980s, it was manufacturing turbines for corporate jet aircraft. The company's founder, Dr. Sam Williams was known for inventing a jet-powered belt and various experimental jet aircraft.
