"I've always tried to work for companies and individuals who share my vision for a brighter future. I was naturally drawn to Wheatsville because of this. As a retail cooperative, they work towards a more egalitarian future by bringing food ownership back into the customers' hands. However, a recent change in management and turn towards a more bureaucratic, formalized space has, in my opinion, diverted the company. In my short time there it was clear that they were more focused on making money than sustaining the company values and being an example for the Austin community. I hope that they can soon return to their original ideals and start providing for their employees in a more sustainable and ethical way."
"I have been working for Wheatsville for over a year now and it has been an amazing experience! The people I work with everyday are the best of the best. The people are truly genuine and friendly. Plus the food is so good I don't eat anywhere else for lunch. It's really a home away from home."
