What do you like about working at W.E.T. Automotive Systems?

"Been with WET through ups and downs between 2008 and 2012. Good company to work for. Great colleagues along the years. High engineering and professional level. Lots of challenges and opportunities for career growth. Great exposure to OEM's and Tier 1's customers. Good technical reputation, good product, good management. Many training opportunities on-the-job. Very helpful and supportive senior level professionals. Real team work environment. Very rewarding engineering work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"As an engineer be prepared to go through a very detailed technical interview. Learn in advance as much as you can about WET products and think about how they relate to your experience and background. Provide as many details as possible about how your experience would benefit WET. Show confidence in your skills and ability to learn, adapt and work in a team environment. If you get hired there are many people there to help you and answer any question you may have. Good luck!"

What don't you like about working at W.E.T. Automotive Systems?

"Differences between OEM's and Tier 1's specifications and requirements. Every customer has different approach and understanding of our product. Big variation in testing procedures from one customer to another. Many conflicting customer requirements which an engineer must manage. Many subjective customer requirements which make some tests very difficult to standardize. Very elaborate design guidelines require a lot of time to go through on a regular basis considering many updates and revisions. Very challenging position for an engineer being always between the OEM and Tier 1 (JIT)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Improve global communication between different locations at engineering level through workshops and training. Reduce number of procedures to streamline development process. Increase offer for training off-site. Promote senior engineers from inside company to management level. Increase CAD department resources. Increase prototype department resources. Increase resources required to continue the challenging work of commonizing different global engineering and manufacturing guidelines."
