"Werner is late on giving me my maintenance escrow. Per contract it is 45 days we are currently at 48. They require unpaid electronic training that is not mentioned in the contract. Derek Leathers boasts that Werner is in the black but they are 350 million in debt according to their own investor data. Derek is not Mr Werner."
"I have worked for the company for two years. Nothing bad to say."
"The decently sized company, with a little amount of growth. There are a lot of locations depending on the account that you are able to go with. The pay is decent compared to competitor companies. Occasionally it is quite frustrating to be the only person on the account working in the customer's facilities. Make sure to get all the details of the TMT program if that is the reason you are interested in the company."
"Good company to work for."
"I worked for Werner for 6 months. They have great technology stack and great team who work collaborative and goal oriented."
"Werner is an American freight carrier and transportation and logistics company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. It was founded in 1956 by Executive Chairman, Clarence L. (C.L.) Werner. He started his business with one truck at the age of 19. The company has two divisions - Truckload Transportation Services and Werner Logistics. Plenty of opportunities for internships, graduates, entry level positions and drivers."
"This is the worst company I've ever worked for in my adult life. There are no promotions. Raises are capped at two percent and hard to get. There are benefits, but they are really expensive, and the cost has outpaced my one percent raise the last 4 years. No one trusts or likes the management team (with reason). There are four separate levels of management that wander around looking for ways to pick on mechanics. Do yourself a favor, find a better place to work."
"I began working with Werner Enterprises in May 2013. I was hired on directly after graduating from UNL and I was ecstatic to be able to start a career so early. They trained me throughout the summer and I am grateful for all they have done for me. The hours are long and the work environment is stressful, but I enjoy all the people I work with and I think it is a good company."
What do you like about working at Werner Enterprises?
"Nothing."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Look elsewhere for a job unless you really need the money."
What don't you like about working at Werner Enterprises?
"Too much pressure. Work at home as much as in the workplace. Not enough compensation for the amount of time spent on the job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get more experienced managers. The managers Werner has no do not understand transportation or how to treat personnel."
