"I have been with the bank for 16 years. Started out as First Union, then Wachovia and finally Wells Fargo bank. Wells Fargo is a great company to work for, they are strong and have high credit ratings in the market. They own over 160 billion dollars of market cap and it has a trillion dollars of worth in assets."

"Disappointed."

What do you like about working at Wells Fargo?

"I liked working with most of my peers. I liked the location; it was really close to home. I especially loved the benefits offered at WF, i.e., health, dental, vision insurance, health spending account, etc. Wells Fargo is a great company overall."

What don't you like about working at Wells Fargo?

"I did NOT like the hours. I do not believe that the credit manager is a good position for a person who has kids, because you are there early and sometimes don't get off until really late. Having said that, I think that if I would have had a different manager, one that was sincerely motivating, a people person, friendly, high energy, etc., I would have stayed. To me, it makes all the difference in the world if you have a great manager backing you up, ESPECIALLY in sales. The manager whom I had was not a people person. In fact, I had quite a few jaw dropping moments when I would listen to how she would talk to other employees and customers, just a very degrading person. I recall working for MCI as an outbound sales person and I had a great manager who was all about business but still was friendly, motivating and just a great person to want to be around. He made me want to sell and do better for my company. My manager at WFF on the other hand was not someone I would consider sales manager material. I truly believe that a great sales person starts with you and your manager, because if you don't have that support and motivation behind you as an employee, then when tough times come your way you wont have that motivation stay."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Talk to your employees, and get to know them as a real person, not just a sales person. Show respect and don't make your employees feel inferior to you, because when you show respect to those beneath you, you will have rewarding results and happy employees. Happy employees = they want to succeed and do their best."
