Skillset: Warehouse supervisors generally have a strong background in management and operations. They must be well organized with excellent problem solving skills and able to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills also serve warehouse supervisors well as they interact with clients and employees.
Education: A high school diploma is sufficient for most warehouse supervisor positions though some will require at least an associate’s degree and a few years of relevant experience.
Career Path: Warehouse supervisors must show strong leadership and management ability while keeping up with inventory, record keeping, and inspections. Although most positions only require a high school diploma and a few years of relevant experience, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field will increase desirability.
