3I worked for the last year and a half at two locations in Boise Idaho. Period. I work as a beauty consultant. I met a lot of nice people and help them find the right products to help with their skin care and make up routines. It was rewarding. It was interesting. Learning about new technology and techniques. I received a lot of really nice surveys on my Customer Service. Which happened to be one of the five goals I had to maintain daily and through the fiscal year. You are required and judged on these goals. My current DM unfortunately wasn’t very pleasant or professional. And when I raised concerns about her contact. I hope that my store manager and my beauty manager would support me. I was disappointed that they did not. I worked hard at my job and brought My Walgreens stores customers for life. Their motto I took to heart. I didn’t feel valued, appreciated, or supported. There was also many upper management that were having relationships on the job. I do not know if this is approved or appropriate company policy. But I didn’t think it was very professional. I think management and leadership should be just as accountable as employees below them. I was also required to have mandatory meetings. But they were always too busy. I am honest and hard-working. But the employees that seem to do well are the ones that socialize and gossip on the job. I loved being a beauty consultant. But I did not like the ethics of my management. I wouldn’t want to work for Walgreens again. And I would not give them a good recommendation or references for friends and family seeking employment.
2I was very close to my Function lead. We had weekly/bi-weekly coaching so we knew where we stood with our metrics. I was told that I was not making calls. Provided documentation from my provider, did not matter. If you do your job correctly and pay attention during training you will succeed. If not, then you are on your own with trouble shooting and system issues.
4.9I interned for Walgreens Boots Alliance - Global Brands this last summer for 2 months. It was a really great experience due to the company's collaborative, innovative and driven culture. I really got to explore both the analytical and creative sides to Marketing.
