4.5One thing about these types of reviews is that it is always from some ex-employee who is usually mad at the world. At least 90% of the time, you are usually hearing from the company's most unsuccessful employees. So, I'm going to write as a current employee who is cool with company to balance this out.
First, yes the company isn't perfect. Which company is? If you visit, you'll see that the atmosphere is extra friendly and it's not a suit/tie kinda group. If you want that kind of job, Vyrian is probably not for you. If you need 20 levels of managers, Vyrian isn't for you. If you don't work hard, Vyrian is not for you. If you can't think on your own, Vyrian is not for you. If you think just showing up is all it takes to be successful, you won't last here. Yes, it's a fun place to work. But it's still work. The people who don't last have trouble understanding that key point.
Next, my coworkers are good hardworking people. There are some characters in the group. The CEO is probably unlike any other CEO I have met. He works and blends into the company so you can interview with him without even realizing it. They are really what make the company and that's always the case anywhere though.
The location is very meh (Bissonnet and not the actual nice part of Bissonnet), but once you hit the 9th floor the view of Houston up there is amazing. I can even spot my house from way up. If you can get past "the hood" - it's smooth sailing. Makes for lots of jokes between us all. The building itself is secure (with security patrols) and Vyrian has its own separate alarms and cameras.
5If I did not have to move away for personal reasons, I would still be working there. Treated me like family from the very first day. I would encourage anyone to try to get on if you can with them. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset you will love it. But if you want or need to sit in trainings all day long, you will be disappointed. They push you to get on the ground running fast and the skills and fire you bring will have to carry you. My advice to management - give the junior sales people more time to catch on to the business. Some good talented people can take a little more time to have it all click.
1This by far is a total unethical place to work. There are few good employees, most are family and friends. So if you want to work for a dysfunctional company, who allows employees to come to work drunk and drugs flowing around the office like candy, this is the place to work. It's actually a joke of a "company". " Beware if you are wanting to work for a good company that will train and help you grow this is NOT the place". Do not waste your time, do some research.
