VServ Employee

"Pros: I could see only one pros, If they are in need they can pay you anything without negotiation. Cons: Don't surprise if get fired with out notice. Welcome to come office over the weekends and be in office till mid night though shift is only in day. There are only 1 or 2 project, so always there will risk of loosing job. Not even a single client is satisfied with their work and almost 90% projects scrapped. Almost zero career growth, there is no strategy for projects and highly risky for those people who have family and other responsibilities. Work culture is too bad and no balance between your personal and professional life. Last but least I would say, If you don't have job join it and then leave once have good job in hand. Okay for freshers as there is nothing to loose but highly damaging for experienced people. Just a live example they has one project in 2013, that scrapped and they fired 50+ people of .net and QA. It okay till the time you have job but very difficult when they fire you. On an people are spending less than a year. This company earlier name was "Intersoft Datalabs", because of bad performance it gets closed in 2008 followed by mass firing. Then they got one project and started a new company named Vserv again with fresh people in 2010-11, the project scrapped in 2013 which was again followed by mass firing. Time to time people have been fired but i am not counting them. If you have B1 visa, they will try to misuse your visa, they will send you for 3 months but once your they will force you to stay for 6 months. So, Think seriously before joining rest choice is yours. Look into other reviews as well, there might be one or two in favor of because that are posted by HR only. Good Luck !!! Advice to management: Don't play with the life of innocent people and provide a work life balance to people. Make project success instead of crap !!!"

"Its an employees nightmare. In India it is known as V-Serv Business Solutions"

What do you like about working at VServ?

"For B-1 visa holders, this company pays without negotiations. This is the only good part. I increased the amount after my all rounds of interview. They agreed without negotiating."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"This is not at all a place to work. People having 18 yrs of experience are not dealt with respect.. They are paying well as that the only way to get resources."

What don't you like about working at VServ?

"This company hires managers for onsite and make them work as developer. 3-4 managers escaped without any information. They don't even consider any personal problem. Onsite people thinks that they have got the best in world. They rule over offshore people. They don't consider the number of resignations that come across every month. They hire blindly if one has B-1 visa. Those who haven't seen this kind of culture like me are in big trouble. Don't go by the money. They are just hiring you for your onsite billing and will make your life hell. They forcibly make people work on B-1 visa for 6 months and humiliate them here so much for anything or everything. They ask people to pay 50% of money if they want to apply for H-1. They have only one big project and that too the client is equally worst. There is no weekend off. No compensatory off. Additionally they show off by making people work on weekends. The leadership team pretends of working so hard by making people stay back till midnight usually for no reason. They show it off to client by making people come on weekends onsite and offshore. If you have any personal problem and cant stay on B-1 more than 3-4 months. They will ask you to compensate for your travel which is 3-4 times more than the actual amount. They will ask you to pay 50% if you want your H-1 to get filed. Additionally they make sure than no business knowledge is shared and the new joiner keeps struggling, thereby showing off that they know everything and no new person can gain control. This company has no respect for any of his employee. By changing their name in India, they think they can get some reputation. This company has no future. Don't be surprised if they ask you to carry some luggage if you are traveling and will lie about whats in it. This luggage would be gift to the somebody who means something to this company. They don't care if you are a girl or a guy. You have to carry it. There is so much worst to make people aware of this company. Hope this would help."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Just by changing the name, you cannot build a reputation. Work on your worst leadership team. useless HR policies that can change employee's salary structure any time without bothering to ask him/her. Keep a check on the number of resignations and abscond cases you have. I know this advice wont work as you are the base of this dissatisfying environment. But for a company to sustain and grow, they need to do it. Try an anonymous online survey and ask your employee to fill it and you will get to know explicitly what you have been knowing implicitly."
