"My overall perception is that the company does provide a lot of opportunities for engineers to develop technologies without restrictions. The pay is also very competitive for managers and engineers as well. The work environment among coworkers and teammates is very good. Unfortunately it poorly provides all the tools required to do the job. Teams have to extend working hours or even make shifts to use debuggers or licenses. Upper management, used to not support knowledge transfer plans. The style here is that we are treated as we know everything about the product with already committed datelines with customers. It introduces a lot of anxiety and frustration to teams. The relation with my direct boss who is from oversees, is respectful but almost absent. He has no interest in my career development and has some not good leadership practices, in my opinion, such as talking negatively about other collogues or subordinates or be sarcastic all the time about a weakness of an employee. Nevertheless he has good jusgement about people performance and has good technical knowledge to understand reasons. Regarding the CEO, I think that his autocratic leadership style and disorginized way to manage the company (wants plans to be executed fast with minimal or no preparation since c ommunications is poor or inexistent in lower management layers) craetes entropy and uncertanty about the feasibility. More than encouragement is frustration the feeling that causes to most of the management and employess."
