"I worked at DMAS for six months in 2013. While many of my fellow hearing officers were a delight to work with, certain managers were frequently absent. Others resisted stream-lining the process. There was no budget to provide decent offices or hearing rooms and technology was grossly inadequate. Since the managers were required to sign off on every decision, and were often too busy or otherwise unavailable to get their work done in a timely manner, there was a persistent bottleneck."
