"I wrote C++ which took this company from incubator, to number one in their field....and then they offshored my job to IBM/India to save money, and built a big office in NYC. Ouch. This company is funny.....They were sued for patent infringement, sexual discrimination, etc. Judge in Texas ruled that this company and their bank clients/owners, worked as one to break patent laws. I feel funny about the security of the nations banking records, going overseas."
"The gotcha here is in morality. Viewponte, IBM, and Banks acted as one to break patent law. Thus, if you are lucky enough to be hired, you are a resource. If you slip in the parking lot, you will be let go with the next layoff. If someone in India will come and sit in your chair cheaper, you are gone."
What do you like about working at Viewpointe?
"I felt I was an important member of a team, building an important product."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"good luck. It helps to be from India, as, stastically impossible as it sounds..there were 3 white balls in a bag and seven red balls, all balls picked were red balls. Thus, the picking is done by a company in India, and thus, discrimination in favor of those from India is expected. In fact, a women and guy of India decent, openly discussed the discrimination."
What don't you like about working at Viewpointe?
"company was owned by IBM, and according to court decisions, was organized to shield banks from lawsuits (who also owned the company). Turns out, I think they were correct, and the company had a goal from the get-go to offshore to India."
What suggestions do you have for management?
