"I've been working for Valero Energy since 2018. I was mainly involved in developing Inventory projection tool using SQL Server, SAP HANA and VBA"
"I've worked for Valero for two years now. It's a strong company that believes in dedication, self-discipline, and great morals. Valero is the world's largest independent petroleum refiner, and a leading marketer, ethanol producer, and corporate citizen. Named for the mission San Antonio de Valero, the original name of the Alamo, Valero Energy Corporation was created on Jan. 1, 1980, as the corporate successor of LoVaca Gathering Company, a subsidiary of the Coastal States Gas Corporation. Valero is the direct result of a $1.6 billion settlement approved unanimously in 1978 by the Texas Railroad Commission, the state's natural gas regulatory agency, which ended more than six years of litigation brought against Coastal by its municipal gas customers."
"Alright place to work for a new hire."
"WARNING!!!!! Do not apply for or accept a job at this facility. The Valero Welcome, MN site management is HORRIBLE! The employees are treated like dirt. The local and corporate management along with the HR department are so corrupt they make up reasons and incidents to get employees in trouble and put on probation so that they can be fired and not be paid unemployment. This was the most horrible experience of my life. This facility is so micromanaged the supervisors who aren't corrupt couldn't help the employees if they wanted to; but those supervisors are few and far between. The employees are forced to donate to United Way and to volunteer at Valero Corporate approved functions only, and if you don't donate or volunteer you are berated and your raises and bonuses are threatened. Women in the facility are paid much less than the men in the company. Even when the women have been an employee since start up; the new men who are hired for the same positions that will have to be trained by the women, will still be paid more than the women. It's a horrible facility. DON'T ACCEPT A JOB AT THIS FACILITY; EVER!!!"
