"Getting shot at during deployments. Waking up in the middle of the night when your guy gets a DUI."

"Less working parties. Why do we take people away from the main mission to do other things?"

"Be aggressive and open minded at the same time."

"I had very little control over my life. I had served 9 years with very little to show for it. I had no chance to further my education or have much of a social life after a very long time."

"Management is a matter of patience. In order to efficiently manage a team, a manager must be open minded, patient and firm. Lead by example."
