"Florida is a nice place for PhD. As long as you have a good professor, I advise you guys and if you don't like crowded city life, USF is one of the best. Florida is cheaper than many other states as well. And lots of nice beaches around where you can relax after overwhelming load of research work."

"growth opportunities inadequate, no direction,"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"overhaul the system, the postdoc is a lousy title with no defined job requirement and you could end up being responsible for everything if it fails, but you may not even be responsible for the failure but must shoulder the blame and take the fall and result you have a bad experience with no job offers in future like me, I have not had any jobs since I left USF Tampa. Reason could not publish any papers and without it you are a dead fish"
