"I was intern for the APHIS office at the USDA in 2012. It was my first government office environment job. It was fun to get to know the other workers while I was there, and all of the supervisors in APHIS were wonderful people who strived hard to handle the issues presented to them. It was a very inspirational time and I was changed for the better in terms of work ethic and quality."

"Good pay for postdocs but the research environment is far inferior to what you would get at a university. There is also far too much paperwork and bureaucracy that gets in the way of achieving the goals of a postdoc."

"Being my first time working as a government employee, I have learned much about the cross functional work opportunities to contribute to various areas. The co-workers are all friendly and doing their best to make the next promotion, as they are limited and sometimes political. There are politics in any job so just keep working and do your best! Someone is taking note and your day will come."
