"Fantastic experience. I can't complain."
"The military just like any company in the civilian sector has its benefits and short comings. The most frustrating aspect of serving is this type of capacity was the bureaucracy of leadership and their tendency to overlook the ideas of lower ranks who are more technically proficient and hands on everyday than they themselves are. My airmen have come to my many times with brilliant ideas that I then relay to leadership above myself only to be shot down by. What I will miss the most about serving is the comradery shared by my team and myself. We are all friends at and outside of work while maintaining a professional atmosphere at the office."
"It was a very toxic place to work no one seemed to care about there troops."
"I’ve worked with the Air Force since 2018 November. They have exceptional benefits and motives. However being in security forces leadership was very terrible nobody really seemed to care about anyone but themselves."
"I worked for the Air Force for over 7 years. If you are seeking a challenging, yet rewarding career — with endless career potential; then, join the Air Force!"
"I have been active duty Air Force for the past 6 years. During my time in the Air Force I was so fortunate to meet and work with so many great people. I would recommend joining the Air Force or other branch or military without hesitation."
"Good travel and benefits. Promotion can get complicated and some have trouble adjusting to the life style"
"Good Benefits. Proud Feeling to serve our nation."
"I enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in 2013 and served for a term of six years. In that time I gained valuable training which helped in both my military and civilian life. The flexibility serving in the Reserve offered allowed me to go to school and gain other life experiences while still contributing to something worthwhile. It isn't the right lifestyle for everyone, but for the right person serving in the Reserve can enhance your life and help you take some solid steps towards achieving your goals."
"No better job to have than supporting our troops and the people that help keep us safe!"
"I've worked for the DAF for 8 years and it has been some of the most rewarding and challenging work that I have ever done."
"I have worked since July 2019 as an Aerospace Engineer in the LCMC. I enjoy the work overall as it helps the mission of the AF."
"It's a military base, so its basically do as you are told to keep your job"
"It is a different Lifestyle to be in the military"
"I have been in the U.S. Air Force for 5 years. I have enjoyed the experiences I have had, the places I have seen, most of all I enjoyed serving my favorite country in the entire world. I intend to continue my service in the Air Force Reserves, but I am making a career move to enjoy other opportunities while I have relevant technical skills that I use everyday and also to give my family more stability. I will miss the camaraderie among the people and the privilege of leading them everyday. I only wish the higher level leaders would remember where they came from and return to caring for the great men and women of the United States Air Force."
