"Although the work environment has been friendly; the amount of work I am expected to produce each day is way too high to put out anything I could even remotely say I'm proud of. Managers and supervisors say they are listening to me about how unreasonable the deadlines are on my end but they continue to do absolutely nothing to help me out."

"The newspaper industry is a tough industry right now with printed papers"

"Its a shame that the newspaper industry is going away (at least in print)"

"Make sure they know what the directives are for their job and who they answer to."

What don't you like about working at USA Today?

"Top-level management. Those who were above my boss. They had no clue what they were doing."

"Get to know what it is our industry does and needs before taking a job there."

"The people, our product and the environment was great. There was great support from my staff and good teamwork. They really wanted to learn and grow as individuals."

"Make sure they know what their job description, what their responsibilities are and who you will answer to."

What don't you like about working at USA Today?

"Too many meetings! would have liked to have more time to do hands-on work with my staff. Upper management needed to be better at communicating. They also had trouble defining their vision."

"Be more transparent with what is going on. Don't surprise the staff with sudden changes."

"Be ready for changes and accept them with grace and dignity, because the changes will ultimately help the overall brand."

"Keep up the good work and try to find the heart of the USA TODAY brand."

"The environment was good initially. 10Best is one of two companies that I greatly credit to much of my maturing professionally."

"As always, be straightforward and be yourself. Ask about the future of the company in regards to outsourcing. Understand that is an ultimate direction the company wishes to take (at least a few years ago)"

What don't you like about working at USA Today?

"The culture really started to change as more strict policies were starting to be put in place that didn't really have any positive effect on the productivity for any department, not just IT. The environment became much more stressful."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Return to focus on forming a closer team as what was there when I first began working. The people in the IT department are fantastic and bright individuals that have the capacity to really enjoy their job. There's where your success lies, not in policies and corporate layers that was built over the years."

"Able to learn the media industry. The office was diversity, which made me communicate with different people."

"There is currently a division relative to USA TODAY brand platforms (print/digital). An integrated approach is key in a challenging marketplace."

"Realignment of resources and brand platforms."

"less time on team building, it's not the same as professional development"

"Great place to work, but they don't pay as well, and there aren't many growth opportunities; and also the company is not doing very well currently."
