"Top-level management. Those who were above my boss. They had no clue what they were doing."

"Too many meetings! would have liked to have more time to do hands-on work with my staff. Upper management needed to be better at communicating. They also had trouble defining their vision."

"As always, be straightforward and be yourself. Ask about the future of the company in regards to outsourcing. Understand that is an ultimate direction the company wishes to take (at least a few years ago)"
What don't you like about working at USA Today?
"The culture really started to change as more strict policies were starting to be put in place that didn't really have any positive effect on the productivity for any department, not just IT. The environment became much more stressful."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Return to focus on forming a closer team as what was there when I first began working. The people in the IT department are fantastic and bright individuals that have the capacity to really enjoy their job. There's where your success lies, not in policies and corporate layers that was built over the years."
