"this is a great company, awarded the top 100 best places to work"
"USACE is a great place to work, if you arena the construction side. As a Construction Control Rep(Field Engineer) or engineer, it's great. Unfortunately, there is not room for growth, as you have to apply to promote. As you look to higher pay grades, you are required to meets education requirements and additional licensing which are not applicable to the job. Overall management tends to be engineers with advanced degrees and licensing who are not people-oriented and have very little actual job experience and are bad trainers. There is lots of experience to be gained with USACE, but not growth and mentorship."
"I've worked with US Army Corps of Engineers since 2009 and they are very good with training and upward movement. Great benefits and good coworkers."
"I've worked for USACE for about 10 years and I've found it to be similar to an Abyss. I hold a B.S. and a M.S. and I have remained at the bottom of the totem pole. I have been doing the same work since I've started and I've been promised positions, received awesome performance ratings as well as awards, but ALWAYS get the run around or an issue. This company does not value or appreciate me for a number of reasons...especially because i'm not a veteran. It's just no room for growth."
"Great company to work for."
