Think about it this way, today you are new but tomorrow you will be senior and you do not want to be in a position as I have described in my comments."
What don't you like about working at University of Central Florida?
"When new people come (whether faculty, staff or student), there is no system which tells them the contributions of people in the past. Hence, your efforts and hard work and many many years of contribution DO NOT get recognized. As a result, employees feel lack of affiliation and their initiative and motivation level goes down. There is no appreciation of their hardship in the past which actually allows others and new comers to enjoy the present conditions and when they eat the fruit from the tree that their seniors planted even in the near past. This situation has to change."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"As a very good employee reach to many years of service, he or she should be treated with due respect and there should be realization and recognition of what good they have done for the institution in the past. Instead what has been observed is that the management do not care about it and instead they bring in new, junior, less experienced and low pay scale people with the plan to replace their golden assets. This cheap approach of management has to be changed. This is damaging the quality and professionalism required in the employees and UCF progress and advancement in the Hi-Tech."
