"I came on board as a junior controls engineer in 2018. It gave me many great opportunities and I learned some great skills that will help me for the rest of my career. The team atmosphere was great, and they really made me feel welcome. Overall, it was an amazing experience."
"Great group of people working at USNR. Your able to select your growth path."
"Teamwork and communication is the key"
"Great company to work for, however, a bit on the unfair side for the control engineers who are salary based. Lots of hours that have to start up a plant, however, with a fixed salary it really is not very advantageous to the high quality control engineers that are getting the factory or mill to start producing product. Yet, the mechanical personnel are hourly based. Always thought it was a bit unfair."
"Navy Reserves. Great for benefits."
"I have worked for the Navy for 8 years. I served two terms and enjoyed my time of service but am ready for civilian life."
"Overall positive environment. The machinery that the company produces is impressive, however, work is very compartmentalized. It seemed rather difficult to move up and take on bigger roles. This may be due to the industry being very niche and the company having industry veterans making decisions. I was laid-off due to lumber market fluctuation, so if you're looking for a particularly stable job, this may not be it."
