"The people are tremendous and have an incredible capacity for greateness. However, due to the politics of its parent companies (Boeing and Lockheed) they aren't being allowed to demonstrate it."

"This used to be a really great company, and I'm sorry you missed that opportunity."

"All of the great things about the culture are slowly breaking down due to the lack of commitment from the parent companies."

"Keep employees better informed about what's going on with the company."

"No tips. Company is laying off people since the end of the Space Shuttle. Extremely rare to find job postings."

"Excessive paperwork required to do some jobs, in particular those that were not related to flight hardware processing."

"None. We were a team working to the satisfaction of our customer NASA."

"Job, workers, manager, insurance, 401, space program, being involved, work I was doing."

"No because you need to be the person you are."

"I was laid off because the shuttle program was taken away."

"Management was great, the manager was fair, fun and added excitement to the department."

"Shuttle Program shut down causing 5000 to be out of work."

"Listen to your people and value their opinions. Some of them have many years experience."

"Be competent and dedicated to your job, however, continue to look out for your own advancement opportunities and additional skill need."

What don't you like about working at United Space Alliance?

"My office was understaffed so the workload was difficult. Also, favored employees tended to be granted opportunity, recognition, awards and let off the hook for required deadlines."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would allow more staff to be hired to offset heavy workload."

"Working on the US Space Program was a worth-while endeavor while it lasted. The people were outstanding."

"I have no advice because United Space Alliance may soon disband, and there are very few if any jobs available."

What don't you like about working at United Space Alliance?

"The last 2 years were strictly training, to keep us busy and available just-in-case something went wrong on the last 5 Space Shuttle flights."

"None. I believe that they did the best they could within the constraints of working for a US government agency."
