"UOL is a good company to work for. They provide excellent benefits, stock options, and a friendly staff to make coming to work pleasant and enjoyable."

"It is beneficial to research UOL as well as it's subsidiaries before considering employment."

What don't you like about working at United Online?

"The absence of advancement opportunities on various levels. There is a large population of directors, managers and coordinators with few admin as a result of consistent annual reductions in force causing confusion and poorly delegating unfamiliar tasks."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Evaluate each employee's performance and contributions based on performance rather than friendship."

"At first look UOL seems a great place to work. The average employees are dedicated and intelligent, and the company focuses on current technology.But when you peek behind the curtain you soon see that the entire place is riddled with cancer. Morale sucks because the people are terrified of layoffs (there are always layoffs) and unless you are part of the inner circle, you just will not get promoted. Worst of all is the fact that you soon realize that the company is horribly run."

"Be aware that company has gone through several rounds of layoffs."

What don't you like about working at United Online?

"No longer value or invest in their employees or innovation. HR EVP is not good - all the good HR employees left."

"Don't fear the truth. Trust employees - they are trustworthy."

"The company as a whole was very innovative."

"The company is very well managed."

"United Online was a great place to work with great people, their downfall was only not getting into new markets to give all the great people something to do."

"Best idea wins, strong fundamental management, they spent money and time on training their employees for the future."

"Ask what they will be doing in 5 years."

"The business model starting running low on future and they didn't jump on a new model to build out in house. This resulted in many lay offs."

"Don't be afraid to use your resources and build something to sell/market."

"It was an executive company, extremely professional and staffed with knowledgeable employees."

"The job security was non-existent in these times. I was there a little over a year and 50+ employees were let go (including myself) due to declining revenues."

"To continually seek new and innovative ways to reduces overhead and generate sales."
