United Express is a subsidiary of United Continental Holdings that provides connections and feeder flights to other United and Star Alliance departures. Founded in 1985, United Express currently operates eight regional airlines and has hubs at the Denver International Airport, the Los Angeles International Airport, the Washington Dulles International Airport, the Portland International Airport, the San Francisco International Airport and O''Hare International Airport in Chicago. With the aid of these terminals, United Express completes more than 2,000 flights per day to over 150 destinations.

In December of 2002, United Airlines filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This began a turbulent period in the company''s history and resulted in the cancellation of some feeder contracts with United Express, which lead to employee layoffs. However, in January of 2006, United proposed a restructuring plan that received the approval of the bankruptcy court, which enabled the company to exit bankruptcy in February of that same year.

United Express features a wide range of career opportunities that require varying degrees of qualification. As an airline, United needs pilots and flight attendants, as well as engineers, maintenance workers and quality assurance employees, to keep the planes running safely and efficiently.
