"If you're content to stay in a technical role, you will have many years of career happiness. If you're looking to rise, that path will depend on the competency of your management chain; if they are incompetent, growth is unlikely."

What don't you like about working at Unisys?

"No career growth in my particular division, widespread culture of learned helplessness among employees, inadequate leadership development, too-stark delineation between competent engineers and incompetent, duplicitous, or sociopath-like management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Up your competency, and you won't have to feel threatened by the engineering staff. Recognize actual work performers, not their incompetent project management that took the credit, should get the recognition."
