What do you like about working at UMB Financial?

"Great amount of time off, but it comes at a price."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you're content to work for a liveable wage, and great time off benefits, then it's a great place to work. If salary and raises, and health benefits mean anything to you, then look elsewhere."

What don't you like about working at UMB Financial?

"All in IT have been promised for years to get market wages. It still hasn't happened after 5+ years. Most people who elect to stay at UMB, transfer to other departments in order to get a meaningful raise. There is no value for keeping good skilled employees. The HR department has destroyed any value to working there.Any value to Health benefits was lost when they switched to Cigna healthcare. All one has to do is do a google search to see how horrible Cigna is. I wish the CEO would take a more active role in the company and not let HR and the Benefits people run away good employees.Too many SILOS, not enough opportunities to cross train."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"A complete overhaul of the HR dept (unOrganized and inEffective), follow through with the hollow promises of market wages. And fire anyone in Benefits who thinks Cigna is a good Health insurance provider and get someone who actually listens to the employees, and doesn't sign with the lowest bidder (Cigna)."
