"An outpost of a global firm that supports and protects clients and the firm."

What do you like about working at UBS?

"Great colleagues; there is a truly team-like atmosphere, where most people are willing and happy to help each other out. Technologically, UBS is slightly more advanced than the rest of the industry in terms of database management."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"This is a great company to join at the entry level. The training opportunities are immense, and the ability to customize large amount of data based on your own criteria is a huge positive for learning how to analyze numbers and trends. If you're looking to make your way up the corporate ladder, then perhaps you should consider other firms."

What don't you like about working at UBS?

"The culture of meritocracy has declined over the past 5 years. All raises, promotions and bonuses have been frozen for the past 3 years, and exceeding objectives is no longer reason for reward. There is also a large divide between middle and upper management. It feels that they do not know any of their own staff sometimes."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should nurture talent within the firm. There are many intelligent and talented individuals, who often leave the firm because they are not recognized or rewarded appropriately. Without any fresh eyes there is little room for innovation, and the firm does not evolve alongside the rest of the industry."
