"Turner is big on allowing people to try different jobs. When they hire you, they hire you to fill any position available, but pay you for your experience. Highlight the multiple positions you have held, and how you were able to shift gears between them."

"The culture dictated that those who spend the most time at work are considered to be working harder."

"Culture is a hard thing to change, however, the work/home balance of each employee should be respected. Families are just as important to success for people as jobs."

"Nothing, just a bad experience all around they had little or no concern for their employees (just numbers) same as it was twenty years ago."

"think twice before going to work with them and listen closely to what they tell you and read between the lines"

"too much upper management involved in the daily project operations. let the field personnel run the project that's what they get paid for. Upper management needs to be more qualified in the field operations."

"Be more aware of the people under them and show more concern. back them up in their decisions regarding sub contractors and other field problems."

"Nothing. I didn't care for where I was located."

"Turner cares about their communities where they build. I enjoyed the community projects that Turner takes on each year, e.g., home-makeovers, helping the needy, etc."

"Be sure to make it very clear that you intend to be a permanent employee, and desire to continue with the company for future projects. Explain your skills and explain what you have to offer the company."

What don't you like about working at Turner Construction?

"There was only one employee who was in upper management who conducted my review, and made serious blunders with that review. Specifically, when I asked him if any thought had been given as to which project I could go to next, he told me with a smirk on his face, No, we do not lay awake at night and worry about your career! That is the only reason that I did not go on to another project with Turner. And that person is no longer with Turner."

"Monitor the managers more closely in what they are doing. Listen to the employees."

"Each assignment is different and requires a different skill set to be mastered. Everyone that I had the pleasure to work with was professional and serious but available when I needed help. The Turner network is vast and somewhere out there is the answer to any problem that you can encounter."
