"Medicare coverage remains in place year after year, as long as you pay your monthly premium."
"I've worked at Tufts Health Plan for over ten years. Tufts is having a tough time adjusting to changes in the Affordable Care Act. They have never had to be efficient and cost effective and now they are getting squeezed on costs. They also have a flawed strategy having acquired a Medicare/Medicaid provider this has further tied them to government reimbursements, which has cost them millions of dollars in losses. I think they really need better management and I would avoid them as a career choice if you are looking for innovation, good execution or leadership."
"I have worked for Tufts Health Plan since 2013. The organization is excellent, but the opportunities for career advancement are limited."
"Great company to work for. They take good care of their employees."
"Poorest employment experience of my life."
What do you like about working at Tufts Health Plan?
"Non-management staff are quite friendly. Nice cafe in the area."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"My recommendation is this: Should you not be desperate for the money, seek other options from competing companies before agreeing to join."
What don't you like about working at Tufts Health Plan?
"No training for newer staff. Lack of communication from management and director level. Few support systems in place for staff. Lack of stability in the management and leadership team due to high turnover. Company makes a lot of promises during the recruiting phase, that they then fail to deliver on. Get such promises in writing before agreeing terms for any position."
