"The company is great to work for, and the people are very friendly and want to help. Plan compliance is an excellent source of help. It is important to understand the structure that is expected of the position and consider if it is right for you."

What don't you like about working at TransAmerica?

"I did not have a complaint about the company until I transferred into installation services. Even though I proved to excel at relationships and communications, I found the daily regimentation restrictive. I prefer to work in an open structure and have difficulty in limiting certain tasks to specific days."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to find a better way to ensure a better job/personality fit. The environment is very supportive, but when structure does not fit, it is hard to muscle around it."

"I could only get in on a contract, and when it was over, so was my job."

"Give a chance to disabled professionals like myself who worked on your systems in the past and have some knowledge of your environment to work as a programmer or what they are best at, not just what positions are open at the time, like QA. If I agree to switch to QA just to join the firm, at least give me a chance to start off as a junior QA."
