Tradesmen International Careers & Info

Current CEO: Joseph O. Wesley

Status: Active

In April of 1992, John Wesley founded Tradesmen International with three distinct goals in mind. First, Mr. Wesley wanted to improve construction labor productivity while meeting construction needs. Second, Mr. Wesley wanted his new company to be able to give reliable work, fair compensation, generous benefits, and safer working conditions to skilled craftsmen in the United States. Finally, he wanted to see a return of quality craftsmanship in the construction trades.

Today, Tradesmen International has 100 offices in more than 30 states. The company provides services to over 5,000 active clients. The corporate headquarters resides in Macedonia, Ohio. Tradesmen employs more than 500 highly qualified employees. The corporation provides services for commercial, heavy industrial, light industrial, manufacturing and fabrication, institutional, residential, and niche market construction projects.

Tradesmen careers are found in three main fields: craftsman, recruiting, and sales. Construction and skilled labor positions include electricians, forklift operators, welders, sheet metal and HVAC specialists, painters, plumbers, shipwrights, machine assemblers, burners, carpenters, journeymen, blow mold technicians, tank fitters, drywall installers, robot technicians, and solar installers. Office positions include sales representatives, account managers, recruiters, local and regional managers, customer service personnel, and accountants.

The Tradesmen culture is one of hard work, pride in one’s work, and a desire to make the customer happy. The company’s mission is to form a partnership with clients in order to complete projects on time, under budget, and at a high level of craftsmanship. Tradesman requires employees to have exceptional abilities at the apprentice, journeyman, and lead man levels, to have a solid work ethic, a high level of reliability, and strong personal values. The corporation also requires each employee to be safety-minded, to consistently aim to improve skills, and to live a drug-free lifestyle.

A Tradesmen International benefits package is offered to each qualified employee. Health benefits include dental, vision, health, life, disability, and prescription drug plans. Each qualified employee working at Tradesmen International also receives a 401(k) profit sharing plan. The company also has several unique benefits, including an incentive program, employee appreciation events, a tool purchase program, and an employee store.

One of the largest benefits available to Tradesmen International is a reliable work environment. In today’s economy, the construction industry has been hard-hit.
