"Paid very well with great benefits, and was a relaxed work enviroment and was the only person in such position."

"I worked the second shift and was never home at nights to be home with my wife and kids."

"Stop working strictly on the seniority basis and go off skill base of the employee."

"I worked at Brighton Interior a division of Magna in Brighton MI. They went out of business a few years ago"

"top notch tool room equipment, with chances to cross train on most of it"

"overall a good place to work. do what asked of you and try to make things better when you can, but don't give up it won't be easy"
What don't you like about working at Black & Decker?
"since Kwikset makes locksets for the housing market, they were affected everytime sales in the market changed, it was difficult to adjust to reduced work hours when times were slow"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"listen to cost saving ideas from hourly employes, we all knew where the wasted time and money was, but it was almost empossibly to get things done because of the conflicts between the middle management personal over whoses area it was. lack of cooperation between department managers seemed to be a problem never addressed, needed to solve problems not try to assign blame."

"solid company good benefits, good pay."

"just be honest with your experiance. they are looking for the best and brightest in the work force."
What don't you like about working at Alliant Techsystems?
"were I worked was a union shop, not a fan of the union, they have to lay off according to the union contract wich states they must do it by seniority otherwise id probably still be working there."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"get rid of the union and then you can get ride of the second rate employes instead of having the union save there job every time they screw up."

"no career movement. Labourers wages are too high killing Budds competitiveness."

"Reduce unskilled labourers wages."
