"Company financially stable. I enjoyed the work that I did. Decent benefit package."

"Required to work 60 plus hours per week. Micro management of store level management by mid level managers. Expectation of store level employees to perform marketing tasks that should be completed by the corporate marketing department. Working 10-14 hour shifts without the ability to take a lunch period. New regional manager installed having no training or personnel skills. She was inept at best. Little to no advertising for monthly sales events."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Start treating your employees like you would want to be treated. Stop the 5 conference calls per day. Stop berating your employees through abusive and offensive language. Get the human resources department to expedite recruiting efforts. Allow for adequate help to relieve key holders, allowing them to take their federally required lunch period. Do not install a store manager until he/she has been with the company for a minimum of 6 months and taken the corporate management training courses in Florida. Spend some money on non -mail advertising in the smaller markets and not rely on grass roots efforts as they take the manager out of the locations causing sales and customer service to suffer."

Master Technician

"Tire Kingdom Requires their Mechanics to work 50 hrs. minimum per week. The pay scale is very low and is book time. The DM is obnoxious, the ASM only cares about getting his own family in. The draw pay is $10 an hour for mechanics, which is usually a draw pay check due to the fact not a single Service Manager knows anything about cars and can not sell service."
