"I think you are always chasing the carrot here. You are micro managed and set to a schedule that does not allow you to build relationships with customers. Sales is an emotional roller coaster. However, when you're under someone else's emotional roller coaster and they are screaming at you. Work is torture."

"Challenging tools and (too) old school mentalities. Positive change has been very slow. Network and computers are slow. No BYOD option even though there's a very capable Cisco WAP in place. Recruiting and retaining quality agents is a significant challenge partly due to low base pay and challenging CRM tools."

After we hired new managers the store manager made the store more store focused instead of focusing on customer service and due to that you don't get to spend as much time with customers so you are not providing the complete solution, and therefore not making as much money. Creating hostility as the sales manager is not happy about it either, so it is creating hostility between the sales associates and sales manager and the store manager."

"There's no one looking over your shoulders and the other employees are good to work with. There's a certain amount of freedom when you can do certain creative things depending on your department. Overall, is a stable place to work"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do your homework for the position you are applying for and then ask the interviewer exactly what are the expectations. If you claim to be able to perform certain tasks, make sure it's the truth, because if you're hired, the people that will be training you will know if you could do the things you say you could do."

What don't you like about working at Tiger Direct?

"the compensation plan could use some work and management could listen some more to their employees opinions and idea to grow the company instead of yelling and cussing all the time"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"start listening to the people you hire for a certain job. The majority of employees have graduated from university specializing in a certain aspect of their field. So if something is suggested, at least listen and take note of it. Just because we may be young in the field does not automatically mean we don't know. We may have a different view of looking at something or have a better idea of how to increase sales and profit. So overall, take the time to listen."
