"Loved the job, but the management staff was un-experienced and difficult to work with. As the maintenance manager I found it impossible to complete any tasks given to me due to the methods used by the plant manager to prioritize the work load. He wanted to leave the decisions up to the complete management group, holding meetings regularly to discuss the maintenance priority list. This caused problems because every manager had their own priority. Nothing ever got completed! We would get 80% done, then get redirected."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"No, because those I interviewed with were all part of the piping divisions. Then one Vice President that I had the most interaction with from Thomas & Betts (Jim Clark) and who offered me the position in Memphis has since retired."
What don't you like about working at Thomas & Betts?
"On a personal side there was nothing. The only disenchanting item was the selling off of the piping business. If that hadn't happened I would still be there."

"Continue to involve those you supervise in as much as possible. It can only be beneficial to you and the organization. Continue the full circle communications environment. Be open, honest and helpful."
