1.5Please note that I have no intention to badmouth anybody, but I am just being honest. I've worked for Thielen & Associates, Inc. and I did not like it for the following reasons:
1. Sacrifices quality for speed. For instance, I was told to get a financial audit done in three days on two occasions, and I thought that it was a joke or an idiot.
2. My primary responsibility was to review tax returns and financial statements. There were fundamental errors and these errors must have gone undetected. For example, they were showing retained earnings on the balance sheet of a LLC.
3. Employees are pushed to cut time at the expense of quality.
4. Some of the employees resented my review notes. They do not understand the purpose of review process. Some them them hid my workpapers, messed with my files in my PC and did something to the audit software and I was not able to access it.
5. I talked to management about this kind of harassment at work, but management told me that they would not do anything about it. They sounded as if they we blaming for the trouble.
6. As a result, I developed a skin disorder and then decided to leave. I have never worked for a CPA firm like this one. Incredible...
