"This is a great job and a busy store. Unfortunately, the owner of this store,Jadd, does not handle the stress of owning a business well. There are many aspects to the job and very little training, yet you are severely chastised when you work with the information you have or have gleaned on your and the information turns out to be wrong. I do not recommend working at this store."

This means there is a level of human interaction and understanding one must have when working here. Often, there is a large amount of responsibility as one mistake can actually count as two or more. Unfortunately, customers often yell at you without understanding that you are simply a clerk, and don't control where packages come and go. The supervisors are seldom in the store and are often in a bad mood. Hearing about problems twice as much as well as not being able to do anything about them amounts to a large amount of stress. While it's a good starting place, it's certainly not a career."

But even some of the standards and rules the store enforces cause customers to get upset and shoot the messenger, which would be you. Be ready to follow an impossible-to-follow guideline as nothing is written down anywhere. You can become pretty familiar with regular customers but that is one of the only silver linings in an otherwise dull, repetitive, and low-paying job."

"I would be more proactive in finding ways to grow the business, and I would spend less time nit-picking the employees."

"I like the company because UPS is a huge name in the shipping industry; however, The UPS Store is just a franchise so we are not as connected as corporate UPS."

"Treat all employees the same. If you need to lecture, do so privately, but make a point to others so they know what's not acceptable."
