"I’ve worked at children’s , for only about a week and the employees are no help to newcomers. They are immature and judgmental"
"They will give you hours when they are busy, then cut you to nothing when it's slow. They basically expect you to be on call. I loved the people I worked with but it is obvious that the people higher up don't respect hard work. I have seen very hard workers offered raises like 10 cents an hour. Just insulting."
"I worked for this company for only about 6 months. Although it paid well and had amazing benefits, it treated its employees horrifically. The time line and work expectations were unreasonable and not adjusted for store size, location, or business. A store that had one third of the square footage and a quarter of the business as another store would have the same or similar hours to conduct business as the bigger store. There was a large turnover management creating inconsistent expectations."
"I was employed by The Children's Place for 2 years. The Children's Place is a great company to work for as it has a great compensation package, excellent medical and dental plans. One particular way for a TCP employee to feel appreciated, was through various office celebrations during the major holidays."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I would really look into it before you make that decision. There is very little work/life balance. Salaried managers often work 50-70 hour work weeks without extra compensation. Associates are hard to keep due to lack of hours."
What don't you like about working at The Children's Place?
"I didn't like the lack of support from upper management and corporate. Policies were not followed across the board and enforcing those policies is hard on senior managers when they are not supported by their District Manager and/or corporate."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get systems in place across the board and follow them. Corporate needs to look into the product flow and re-evaluate. Outlets are overwhelmed with shipment and much of it doesn't get sold until it is very cheap due to delays in receiving from the processing center. Many senior managers need to re-evaluate how they treat associates."
