"Management needs to do the due diligence when making changes like mergers and acquisitions. They need to allow the experienced employees more opportunities to use their experience when making decisions about new business."

"pay is 30% below market, benefits are cut every year while cost increases. Must find CPE on your own as Management will not provide nor pay for education."

"Lack of benefits, lack of adequate staffing, over abundance of senior management - lack of cash flow and constant demand for cash flow at expense of all other areas of concern"

"you need more tax staff. You cannot run a tax firm with 3 senior management per one tax staff."

"I enjoy working with people and trying to help them resolve their tax problems!"

"I felt that the new owners of HR BLOCK do not value their more experienced employees!"

"With the exception of being ready to work incredibly hard, the only tip would be to stay on top of tax legislation (or accounting rules)."

"As with all of the Big 4, the focus - especially during an economic downturn - is on sales. I understand the need for marketing, and do at times enjoy it. However, my passion lies within the work, not sales."
