"I worked at Target during the summer of 2019. I really enjoyed my time there. Everyone was kind and helpful in training me. All of my coworkers were friendly and enjoyed their job as well. I do wish that I got to know my supervisor a little more but the few interactions that I had with him were always pleasant. I enjoyed helping with the store's remodel and working various types of shifts including a lot of graveyard shifts."

Some of the management are too catty and political as far as operations and human understanding. Plus the benefit change/opening new locations is making it difficult for anyone to survive or want to be there."

"There is nothing I don't like, the people are great and the customers make the job exciting."

"There is a great team of managers who take the time and get to know their employees."

"Give the same amount of friendliness and work effort to each shift on the job as what you gave during and preparing for the interview."

What don't you like about working at Target?

"It's difficult to get ideas for improvement in the hands of people who have the power to make those changes happen."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Apply the company's mission statement in every decision made, both day to day, and longterm."

What do you like about working at Target?

"I like the people I work with. For the most part, everyone's friendly."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Know something about the company. Be prepared to do a lot of work without being paid enough for it."

What don't you like about working at Target?

"Understaffed, everything isn't as straightforward as it should be, training is a mess, can't access a lot of things from the website that you should, website doesn't run on macs."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I have no clue who my manager actually is. I don't know if my team lead is the manager, or if the person above them is the manager. If I were running things, there'd be less acronyms, things would be more straight-forward, training would be a little more involved, cashiers would get walkies, and there'd be more than 2 people closing the fricking store."

What do you like about working at Target?

"I like that the rules of conduct are reasonable and the expectations of upper management are easy to uphold."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Act as if working yourself to death every day would be no problem for you."

What don't you like about working at Target?

"It's incredibly dull work. I can maintain it fairly easily on a good day, but my bad days usually arise when I just can't stand the monotony of the routine or the utter pointlessness of the job itself."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would make the day-to-day tasks easier to keep up with and try to ensure that each TM is pulling their own weight in the department. Other than that I would try to have more cross-training between departments so others in the store are aware of my area's concerns."

"It was a learning experience, seeing what it would be like to work without a degree."

"No, If you're applying to work in retail at Target, you know what you're getting into."

What don't you like about working at Target?

"My co workers were not the hardest working bunch, often leaving lots of work to be done that I would have to finish, and I got little to no support from management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"More extensive interview process, so that the people they hire are more reliable."

"Co-workers and some of the guests that come into Target."

What don't you like about working at Target?

"Most of the team leads are full of themselves, no one helps you with a task."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would actually listen to the employees and guests, not just give them a run-around answer."
