3.3I enjoyed the people and the overall atmosphere but at the time the company was, and still is, going through some growing pains. I was an intern and they offered me little direction. I understand that it is good to see how an employee, especially a developer, can perform on their own, but as an intern I feel like I had too much freedom. A little supervision and direction would have gone a long way because I was never given a real goal to strive for and I think I came up short of my potential.
3.8I worked at Synacor for about a year. They had a friendly atmosphere, regular technical training, decent salary, and lots of free food. There are constant changes happening there and for the short duration, I've seen many such as 2 complete conference room name changes, the CEO resigning and a new one coming aboard. They have been going through some recent financial troubles and have had to make a lot of changes to the company structure.
3.9I've worked at Synacor in a few departments. The culture, work atmosphere, co-workers are all great.Project Management needs a BIG improvement. Many projects are thrown together and everything is an I-need-this-now type of project. Better planning and involving the right people at the right time would do you well. Fix it.
