2 I was hired in mid 2016 to fix and maintain 3rd party equipment. And in my down time maintain Swissport equipment. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and for 9 months all I did was work in my field maintaining 3rd party equipment. The money that was earned through 3rd party work paid my wages and any specialty tools that I may have needed. A manager was hired in early 2017, he dropped all 3rd party work ending any drive I had to work there. In less than 2 months our vehicle up time went from the high 80s to barely making 40% up time. In less than 5 months 3 mechanics left with barely any notice. It is a nice shop but management doesn't take things seriously. The same vehicle will have 3 flywheel changes done in one week. They just throw parts at vehicles without any kind of diagnostic work.

Some stations are union others are not it would be nice to uniformity in regarding their stands on unions.

4.3 I have worked for Swissport Cargo Services for a total of almost 9 years. I enjoyed the job, but computers and tech is my passion. It is with the station managers blessing that I went back to school. Swissport was good to me, very good.
