"Due to the economy, the company was forced to keep downsizing. (I survived many layoffs before my position was finally offshored.)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Balance the offshoring of jobs with local talent in order to better keep the bottom line (client deadlines and therefore client satisfaction) in mind. Sometimes upper management thinks of only short-term savings and doesn't grasp the big picture."

"Be aware that they are a good company to work for in that they will train you and support you when out on the road, however if the workload / projects dry up, you may be out of a job."

"There has been a pattern of reduction in force to meet budgets"

"Consider cross training in the event that one department may be short on work and another over burdened. Use the resources that you have rather than layoffs and new hires"

"Better communications from engineers that are responsible to customers. More focus on fixing customers problems."
