Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Tell the truth & use proper terminology...Example:Two employees that were hired claimed to have a Security+ certification, and were Network Administrators. There is a difference in terminology from the way it was explained to me at a later date between the military terms and the civilian terms. A Security+ obtained in the military without an authorized proctor is only valid as a completion of the exam in the military and is not recognized by Comptia. The second issue with terminology is Network Admin. These two individuals did not realize that in a civilian position a Network Admin is more of a management role in IT not the name for what their job duties described which was closer to Help Desk Support. It would also help longevity of employment if you are honest with the interviewer. Both of these individuals worked at STG Inc for three months or less."
What don't you like about working at STG Inc.?
"There were many occasions that too many people were involved in a task. This would slow down progress. There were also too many meetings which is why the Program Manager had to have me handle a bulk of work while he attended daily meetings, conferences, and conference calls. When he could not attend I would attend in his place. Attending in his place was not bad, but it did put a tighter strain on my workload."

"I have worked with STG since 2011. The company works with Federal Government and military services and provides employees a lot of potentials working for government with various high tech tools and resources. What I did in past three years is Mobile (Android) development and Web applications by Java EE. It helps me build a solid tech foundation through this wonder working experience."
"A great company that cares for their employees."
"STG is a military contracting company, good salary, great employees and good benefits. I have been fortunate to work with a very talented team, on some advanced projects."
"Worked at STG for over a decade. As manager, earlier in my career I had great latitude over my contracts and projects, and working with my Director, had great success in winning and retaining work. In past years, STG has become top heavy with senior management, and many previously effective managers have been delegated to timesheet signers by the accompanying updraft in approval authorities to high levels. Results have been predictable: STG is shrinking as the client facing managers have been neutered, and are more likely to just pass along any issues to higher management instead of proactively resolving themselves. Sad, but typical of organizations that lose focus on what made them successful as they grow."
