"Steve Madden, LTD. was my first job out of college after I graduated in 2012. The company has made vast improvement over the years to adapt the culture and lifestyle to better fit modern businesses. Although, with improvements, Steve Madden still lacks the diversity and work/life balance that millennials are looking for and I'm afraid that the company culture of (almost solely) hiring friends + family is off-putting to qualified applicants. Making decisions requires rounds and rounds of approvals from every single person on the ladder which usually leads to missed opportunities, especially creatively."
